At The Crossroads is designed to guide the students down the pathways to success. There are steps that help the students reach their full potential while in the program. One of the area's of focus is healthy living. Todd has challenged himself to really change his lifestyle and make better, healthier decisions.
Todd was active in sports in high school and was able to keep in shape during that time of his life. Now that he is here he has had the opportunity to get back to being a healthier person. He gets up early to go to the gym and tries to get in at least a 1 to 2 hour workout depending on his work schedule for the day. He makes sure to fill his diet with protein to help him retain muscle and build muscle while working out. He also eats healthier meals throughout the day such as, chicken, eggs, tuna, fruits, and vegetables. He has a list of foods that he should or shouldn't use and which foods are better for the different areas of fitness. An example of that is apples are better to help burn fat versus a banana. This lifestyle change has set an example to all the guys in the program and it has really helped to show what a healthier life can do for a person. Todd is feeling great about his lifestyle decisions and is glad he started making these healthier choices now.
